April 28th, 2010 Eric Hagarty No comments

image TDK-EPC (magnetic group of TDK Corporation) has announced the intention to discontinue the manufacture of all bobbins and mounting hardware currently being supplied by MH&W International Corp.

MH&W will accept orders for the bobbins and mounting hardware as a last time buy.  All orders must be submitted to MH&W no later than June 10, 2010.

Delivery of product based on the last time buy must be completed  within 10 months.  Therefore all bobbins and mounting hardware must be shipped from MH&W by April 10, 2011.  All last time buy orders are non-cancellable, non-returnable and cannot be pushed out beyond April 10, 2011.

MH&W International will be sourcing equivalent bobbins and mounting hardware from alternate sources where there is an existing equivalent product.  We have already identified many items that are functionally the same.  If an equivalent cannot be readily found, MH&W will investigate tooling the items in order to continue a smooth flow of equivalent product.

The complete list of discontinued parts can be found at http://www.mhw-intl.com/tdk_xbobbins.htm. This list will be updated in an ongoing manner as new and alternative parts are identified.
